Today we want to tell you about a very sweet and fragile, but at the same time very purposeful girl who, with a light movement of her hand, chopped off her roots and exchanged gray St. Petersburg for sunny Phuket.

"Engineer", an athlete and just a beauty

I was born in Orsk. At 18 she moved to St. Petersburg, graduated from the St. Petersburg State Electrotechnical University and received a diploma in electronics engineer. Why did you choose this specialty? I used to think because of the mathematical mindset. Now I understand that due to the fact that I stuttered and was afraid to communicate, I chose the direction in the field of physics, so as not to talk to anyone. I worked in parallel (manager, waiter, etc.), but that didn't inspire me. I didn't want to live and work like everyone else, I wanted to do what my heart lies in.

Fateful acquaintance

Disgusting weather in St. Petersburg due to which there were constant migraines. An apartment in which I did not feel comfortable and a depressing view from the window. I hated every day. I didn't “feel” myself and didn't understand how I should live and what to do next. At the institute she met a young man. We have been together with Kostya for 3 years. We tried to build a business in St. Petersburg, but it turned out badly, we didn't want anything. There was no clear understanding of why we need to earn money? For what?

In the summer of this year, we accidentally met a man who constantly travels to warm countries and has his own successful business. At the same time, he has a wonderful family, which supports him in everything. It inspired and ignited us. In a month we earned the required amount and moved to Thailand, to the island of Phuket. Of course, at first all the countries of Southeast Asia were considered, but Thailand attracted most of all: sea, sun, fruits, affordable prices. Those close to this news reacted ambiguously, they were shocked. Then they made our decision and now they are happy for us.

Preparing for the move

I studied absolutely everything that is on the Internet. Forums, articles, videos. I communicated in chats with those who are already on permanent residence in Asia. But first of all, they prepared financially, since at that time there was no stable remote income, and for the move it was required to earn 120 thousand rubles. It was a great motivation that helped me learn how to quickly generate ideas, be useful to people, communicate a lot and work almost 24/7. During this period I grew very much as a professional.

In just a month, Kostya and I earned the required amount for the move, bought tickets and on September 17 flew away from Pulkovo. We took with us T-shirts, shorts, swimwear, medicine and sunscreen. Everything fit into one suitcase. Nobody helped us, everything was on our own. After all, this is our life and a decision for which only we are responsible.

Housing rental and life-saving multicooker

I was looking for housing like this: I rented a hotel for 3 days on agoda.ru, then I looked around, understood where I wanted to live, found out the approximate prices in this area and already rented a hotel room for a month. Then there were two more transfers to different districts on the same principle. Initially, she lived in a hotel that did not have a kitchen. The solution was found simply - I bought a multicooker on the spot and cooked in it. I treat everyday life calmly and without trepidation, so there were no special problems. Then they rented a house with an equipped kitchen. You cannot do without a kitchen in Tai if you are not ready to spend more than 1,500 rubles a day on food per person. About the fact that this is a very cheap country - these are all rumors, nothing more. Our budget for a month in Tae ranged from 60 thousand for two. It's about the same in Bali, although food is much cheaper here!

Web design is a hobby that generates constant income

I am a web designer. I make turnkey websites and landing pages. I have a lot of clients and orders, as I managed to improve in this area and became a good specialist. Therefore, I know all the nuances of a business and how to properly package it. This is my advantage. kiproject.ru is my personal site, by the way. I combine freelance and collaboration with top web agencies. In general, there were no particular difficulties with work in Tai. On the contrary, she grew up professionally and began to earn more.

Business time, fun hour

I spent my free time in Thailand in different ways. About once or twice a week I traveled around the island and was inspired by new ideas. She often took various courses in web design. I love to read. In Phuket, I loved to relax on the beaches of Nai Harn and Kata Noi. I advise you to definitely visit these places, as well as Big Buddha. Now she has moved to live in Bali. Further I plan to explore Europe and China. I haven't flown home yet. In the spring I really want to visit my parents. I keep in touch with friends, now my sister is visiting me.

Eat Pray Love

The move had a very strong influence on me, on my worldview, character. I became conscious, calm, began to feel myself, the needs of my body. The move gave a huge impetus to work. I felt independent. Now I am responsible for myself. This also greatly affected the relationship with Kostya. We have complete harmony. We learned to hear and understand each other, to seek compromises.

Very spicy

Local cuisine - very spicy! This is simply impossible for a European. Therefore, I order only proven dishes and be sure to add "know spicy". Otherwise, the stomach will definitely not say thank you. My favorite local foods are Pad Thai, Tom Yam, Khao Pad. But still, most often I eat something European. They themselves prepared simple dishes: pasta, potatoes, chicken, fish, pasta with shrimps, their favorite. As for the groceries in the store, everything is there, but at very high prices. We don't cook in Bali, cooking here is more expensive than it is in a cafe.

About long-lived tourists

I associate the locals with the sun. Very welcoming and friendly, always ready to help. Long-living tourists are treated in the same way as "packets" -weeks. For them, we are forever farangs.

Did you expect a magic kick?

For those who really want, but have not yet decided to move, I can advise only one thing - just take it and do it. Don't read a bunch of useless information. All the same, you will not understand what this is until you find yourself in the country. Moving is your development zone. Even if the country you have chosen does not suit you by some parameters, in any case you will get just a tremendous experience! It's worth it.
