In particular, the beginning of the wet season falls on April, so this month is characterized by increasing rains, although for different regions of the country the greatest amount of precipitation is observed at different times. In contrast to temperate latitudes, rains during this period do not provoke a decrease in temperature. On the contrary, in April the Sun occupies the highest possible position, which contributes to an intensive increase in air temperature and warming up of the sea to a maximum of 28 degrees.

April is one of the hottest months in Thailand. In particular, in the north of the country, the air warms up to a mark on the thermometer above 36 degrees. But the nights here are pleasantly cool, since the air temperature in the evening can drop to 20 degrees. On the coast of the Andaman Sea, very warm air masses dominate in April, and there are also quite rare but intense torrential rains that last from 2 to 3 hours, after which the hot sun reappears. It should be noted that in April there are not so many days when the sea is calm. Most often, strong winds raise high waves at sea.

More favorable weather conditions are developing this month on the coast of the Gulf of Thailand. The comfortable temperature of the air and sea water, as well as the refreshing sea breeze, create excellent conditions for relaxing on the coast. In addition, short tropical showers from time to time bring a pleasant coolness.

In Phuket, the beginning of the rainy season is felt quite clearly. However, there are almost no real tropical storms in April. For a month, only about 120 mm of precipitation can fall here, which does not significantly affect the level of comfort. The air temperature during this period reaches a maximum of 30 degrees, and the difference between night and day temperatures does not exceed 5 degrees. The sea pleases tourists with its consistently high water temperature of about 28 degrees.

Pattaya is the most favorable place for a good rest in April, as at this time there is a minimum amount of precipitation of about 60 mm. In addition, the rains are mainly observed in the morning hours or at night. As in other regions of Thailand, April here is characterized by rather high temperatures, both air and sea water. So at night the temperature does not drop below 26 degrees, and during the day it can reach 31 degrees. The sea warms up to a comfortable 28 degrees.

Since the island of Koh Samui is located in the Gulf of Thailand, it can rain almost throughout the year. An exception is the period from February to April, when precipitation stops for a short time. As in other resorts in Thailand, it is especially hot on Koh Samui in April. The daytime temperature reaches 30 degrees, and at night the thermometer does not drop below 26 degrees. The sea pleases with steadily warm waters of about 28 degrees.

The capital of Thailand has especially favorable conditions for recreation, since here you can fully enjoy the hot weather with minimal rainfall from November to April, when cold weather prevails in the temperate latitudes of the northern hemisphere. In April, the amount of precipitation in Bangkok begins to gradually increase and can reach 85 mm per month. However, the rains cannot interfere with a pleasant pastime on the hot beaches of Bangkok, where the water warms up to 28 degrees, and the night temperature is 27 degrees. During the day, the weather is hot, and the thermometer can rise above 30 degrees.
