Munich is famous not only for its beer marathons, but also for one of the best football teams in Europe. The city strikes the imagination with a combination of architectural delights and amazing nature. Located not far from the snowy Alps, it attracts numerous tourists with its sharp expressive outlines of cathedrals and bell towers, old houses, the windows of which are lavishly decorated with plants blooming in pots. Today we will tell you how to get to Munich, which transport to choose and how much such a trip from Moscow will cost.

Plane

Both the domestic carrier Aeroflot and European companies are ready to offer their services to passengers. Flying to Germany is very convenient due to the popularity of this destination. Flights between the two cities are operated by the German carrier Airberlin and the Baltic company Airbaltic. Air communication with the German city is supported by aircraft of S7 Airlines, Pegasus and Turkish Airlines.

You can fly to the capital of beer festivals both by direct plane and with transfers, via Berlin or Frankfurt am Main. The choice depends on whether your excursion program includes visits to other German cities, or you purposefully headed for the center of Bavaria.

So, the best deals in this direction belong to such carriers as S7 Airlines and Aeroflot. For only 7300-9700 rubles you can get off at the Franz-Josef Strauss airport. And the time that will have to be spent on the road is a little more than 3 hours. There is also a convenient flight schedule. Thus, domestic aircraft leave the Sheremetyevo airspace at 8 hours 5 minutes, 10.55, 14.00, 14.55 daily. There are also evening flights. But their competitor S7 Airlines makes only one flight - at 11:40 am.

If you prefer other carriers, be prepared for the fact that the ticket will cost much more, and the flight will take several hours longer. But the main disadvantage of such routes is the presence of an intermediate airport, where you have to make a transfer. In the event that you decide to get to Munich via Berlin, the best offer would be an Aeroflot flight, which can fly to the German capital in just 2 hours 45 minutes, but the ticket will cost no less than a direct flight and will be 9.5-11 thousand rubles.

A train

If you prefer to travel on solid ground, we advise you to consider traveling by express. There is no direct connection between Moscow and the German city, so we will consider options with transfers. A good option is the train to Berlin, which leaves every Monday, Thursday and Friday at 22.30.

In just 25 hours you will get off at the Berlin train station platform. The fare in this direction will cost 170-630 euros per adult passenger, depending on the type of carriage. At the same time, he will be able to take advantage of discounts that are provided to children under 12 years old, pensioners and other categories of passengers.

The distance from Berlin to the capital of Bavaria can be covered by bus, train or plane. For example, a trip by a regular bus will cost 22-30 euros, and the travel time will be from 7 to 8.5 hours. And travel by train express will cost from 35 euros, but the travel time is reduced by several hours. You can also use the services of air carriers that carry out air travel within the country.

An alternative route is the train journey through Frankfurt am Main. Every Thursday at 16.30 a high-speed train departs from the platform of the Belorussky railway station, which will take everyone to the German city in just 10.5 hours. A train ticket will cost from 5100 rubles. And then you have to buy a train ticket to Munich. The train departs at 7.54 local time and after 3 hours arrives at the platform of the railway station in the Bavarian town. A similar route runs through Vienna.

Bus

Do not forget about the bus service. Comfortable Ecolines buses leave from Rizhsky railway station almost every day, taking you directly to Munich. Please note that trips are not made every day, and the schedule will be adjusted from December 28 of the current year. In the meantime, buses leave at 20.00 or 20.30 (depending on the day of the week), and the total trip duration does not exceed 44.5 hours. The fare starts at 7 thousand rubles.
