Gravity is, perhaps, one of the most interesting and mysterious phenomena that everyone encounters all the time. Everything around is under its influence and it seems that there is nothing surprising in the fact that objects should fall down, supports and buildings should be located strictly vertically, and it is easier to stand on a flat horizontal surface than on an inclined plane. And this is undoubtedly correct, but nature loves to surprise and contradict its own laws. And to see this, you do not have to go up into space and experience the feeling of weightlessness, it is enough to visit one place located in the United States of America.
The history of the "enchanted" place
In California, not far from Santa Cruise, there is a forest in which there is a place with a circumference of 46 meters, where the laws of gravity, formulated at one time by Newton, Einstein and other physicists, do not apply.
For a very long time, scattered tribes of the Oloni Indians lived here, which were famous for their shamanic rituals carried out in this place. But after the arrival of Spanish missionaries to these lands, the Indians were first forcibly converted to the Catholic faith, and then partially exterminated, some died themselves from such European diseases as measles and syphilis.
For a long time, no one knew about the enchanted place, but at the beginning of the twentieth century, American entrepreneur George Prater bought part of this territory in order to build a house in which he could have a rest in the summer with the whole family. The place was very picturesque, the air was clean, the silence was broken only by the singing of birds and the buzzing of insects, in a word, George decided that this heavenly place was simply created for him.
Having ordered a project for a house, and hiring workers, he began to wait impatiently for the completion of construction, but, having arrived at this place again, he found that the house was strongly skewed to one side. Writing off this to the unprofessionalism of the carpenters, Prater hires a new team, but the effect is the same. Over time, the house completely "slid" from the hillside, like a slow turtle. It was then that rumors spread about a mysterious place where water can flow upward and trees grow in an almost horizontal plane.
Guided tour of the park
Enterprising Americans immediately realized the benefits, and in 1940 the place was fenced off and named Mystery Spot. Since then, the flow of tourists has not stopped here. Each person wants to independently experience the magical properties of the anomalous zone. A ticket to this park costs seven dollars, and if you arrive by car, you will have to pay an additional five dollars for parking. The entire guided tour takes about half an hour. During this time, you can see everything, listen to an interesting story from the guide, take pictures and “walk along the walls”.
And so, the excursion begins. Passing through the still even gate, you run into a path leading to a hill, the slope of which is densely covered with forest. If you climb it, you can see the very hut that George Prater tried to build in the thirties of the last century. The building has sagged so badly that you get the feeling that you are about to become a witness of its last moments. However, it is not. Going inside, you understand - this house will withstand more than one generation of tourists.
A horizontal bar hangs in the hut, hanging on which, the body deviates from the vertical axis at an angle of 40–45 degrees. At the same time, it is impossible to explain what force makes him perform these movements. All objects in the room are located at an unnatural angle of inclination, without moving and falling to the floor.
And in general, the house does not have a single vertical support or wall, even the shelves here do not hang parallel to the ground. If you put a ball on such a shelf, then it will not roll down, but up, causing surprised exclamations from tourists. The walls are specially equipped with ladders that can be walked at an angle to the floor. Photos in this position look very impressive. Another oddity is the optical effects. If you look at people in the house from different angles, then their height either decreases or increases.
All visitors are shown a broomstick, which stands in a completely unnatural position, almost at an acute angle to the floor.

Mystery Spot Phenomenon
It should be noted right away that none of the put forward versions have been proven by scientists or confirmed by scientific research. But at the same time, the number of those wishing to explain the Mystery Spot phenomenon does not decrease.
According to one of them, it is in this place deep underground that a tectonic fault passes, which affects gravity. Another version says that all this is the handiwork (or whatever) of alien aliens who have created their hidden bases in this place.
Some are inclined to a pragmatic explanation, assuming in this place emissions from the earth's crust of carbon dioxide, which causes massive hallucinations.
Skeptics insist that this is just a clever engineering move. That is, all objects are located in such a way that the illusion of a tilt of the human body itself is created.
But why seek an explanation for what one can simply be surprised at? Indeed, in life there are not so many reasons for sincere surprise and admiration. Although this is a controversial issue, because every sunset or dawn of the sun, every smile of a child, every drop of dew on a fresh flower in the early morning, and even our every breath is a miracle that nature gives us, but to which we, unfortunately, already stopped paying attention.
